RED AND GREEN DAY DECEMBER 18TH
For Casual Dress Wednesday, December 18th, we are celebrating Christmas early and it is a favorite of the students! They can choose to wear red or green for the upcoming Christmas holiday. Please remember to read and check the school website uniform policy for appropriate clothes. If you have any questions, you may call the office for more information.
Tuition assistance applications are due December 31st
If you are applying for tuition assistance for the 2025-2026 school year, applications are due no later than December 31st for the Fulcrum Foundation. (Applications for Faith Community Scholarships and tuition assistance from the school will begin in 2025.)
FACTS Fulcrum & Assumption Tuition Assistance Applications
Tuition Assistance applications are now open for the 2025-2026 school year!
The website to complete the application is https://online.factsmgt.com/SignIn.aspx
The window to complete the application is from October 2, 2024, through December 31, 2024. This application is for both the Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Program and the Assumption Catholic School Tuition Assistance Program.
As a reminder, submitting the application online is just the first step. All applicants must also provide supporting documentation, including your 2023 1040 tax returns and W-2’s. Applications can only be verified and processed once all necessary documentation is submitted. It takes FACTS about 14 business days to process applications once paperwork is received, so the sooner it’s submitted, the better.
The deadline for applications to be submitted and documents to be uploaded into FACTS is December 31, 2024.

Uniform Reminders
This year has been a little confusing with the roll out of swag and having casual uniform Wednesdays, so we want to provide a couple of reminders re: what items are considered “uniform”.
- For Middle Schoolers (6-8): Eagle Athletic hoodies (purchased through Dennis or Lands’ End uniforms) and red sport team hoodies may be worn as part of their uniform on all regular and casual uniform days. For K-5, students may wear the ¾ zip sweatshirts on regular uniform days.
- For ALL students- Any shirt adorned with our school logo may be worn on casual uniform Wednesdays. This includes the pictured swag items, Fun Run and Holy Hoops tees, Academic Decathlon and archery shirts, etc.
- Swag items may NOT be worn by any student indoors on regular or dress uniform days.

Sweaters, Sweatshirts, and Coats… oh my!
Our Lost & Found is STILL brimming with uniform sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, and even socks! Please come have a look to find your child’s missing things. Our collection is located in the hallway on the first floor, between the kindergarten and first grade classrooms. Thank you for claiming your family’s items!
All items not claimed or at least have a name will be given away to charity/Hope House by December 20th.

Inclement Weather Information
Occasionally severe weather makes it necessary to suspend school for a day, begin school later, or close early. You will be notified via text and/or email in case of a schedule adjustment or school cancellation. Thank you.If you have any questions please contact the office.
Christmas Program December 19th!
We are so excited to bring the Christmas program to you! But we also want to provide a few reminders and updates:
- Students wear their “Christmas best” except for eighth graders who are in costume for the play. Please follow the Event Dress Code in the Uniform Policy on the school’s website for modesty guidelines.
- Seating in the church will be limited. To make more room for guests, students will be in their classrooms during the performance until it is their time to sing/perform. Please have them to their classrooms by 6:40 pm. middle school students should go to the St. Cecelia Room for Orchestra and the gym for Choir and Band.
- Doors to the Gathering Space will be open early, but the doors to the church will remain closed until 6:30 pm. Please be mindful when entering the church that we have 150 families who will be looking for seats, so reserve only what you need. You don’t need to reserve a spot for your Assumption student- he/she will be with the class in the classroom.
- Parking is reserved in front of the church for the seats purchased at the auction. The first two pews on each side are also reserved- first pew on either side for seats purchased in March 2024.
- Students will all be back in the church for the final song so please don’t leave early. They will return to their classrooms and should be picked up by their parents from the classroom. There is no reception in the gym, so families can leave as soon as they’ve picked up their children.
- All performances are in the front of the altar, facing the main “nave” of the church. You are welcome to sit on the north or south transepts, but students will be facing the main part of the church.
Wreath and Poinsettia Pick Up is Friday/Saturday!
ALL orders will be available for pick up at the school on Friday, Dec. 6 (3-6 pm) and Saturday, Dec. 7 (8-10 am). Our kids will load your vehicle with a smile!
Please note that on Friday afternoon, we will be distributing orders from the Kentucky St. gym entrance due to basketball practice in the gym. If you plan to pick up your items between 3-3:45, there will be quite a bit of traffic between us and the high school, so please plan to park and walk around. We greatly appreciate your understanding as we share the space!

Mass Friday, December 6th
This Friday, Mr. Costanza’s 6th grade class is leading parts of the Mass. All are invited to attend Mass at 8:15am. Dress uniform required.
Our altar servers are Sam Twining, Ben White and Joseph Herron! Please remind them come to the church by 8:00am or earlier. Thank you.
Mass Monday, December 9th-Holy Day of Obligation
This Monday, December 9th we will be celebrating the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception! The Vatican decided that it is important enough to celebrate on its own so therefore changed the date normally celebrated on December 8th for this reason. This will be a Mass at 12:30pm and open to the community/parishioners.
Ms. Zech’s 6th grade class is leading parts of the Mass. Our 8th graders will be hospitality and bring up the collection for us. Our servers will be Laurisa D, Erick Dennis, Abril D., Alan Lopez, Alison Bratt and Baylen Richmond. Thank you for serving. Please remember to come to the sacristy at 12:10pm.
Dress uniform is required.
Saint of the Week Question:
Answer to last week: St. Margaret of Scotland
She was the Queen consort of Scotland from 1070-1093 and the mother of 3 kings! She had an authentic and deep faith which led her to feed orphans daily and she would wash the feet of the poor in imitation of Christ. She and her husband, King Malcolm lived a virtuous life and encouraged others to do the same. She became the patron saint of Scotland.

New Question: This saint was one of the Apostles that walked with Jesus while He was on the earth. According to the New Testament, he was born in the village of Bethsaida on the Sea of Galilee during the early first century. Much like his younger brother, Simon Peter, he was also a fisherman. And his very name means strong, and he was known for having good social skills.
In the Gospel of Matthew, it is said Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee and saw him with Simon Peter fishing. It is then Jesus asked the two to become disciples and “fishers of men.” A Christmas novena is attributed to him as the author.
