End of Year Prayer Service June 11th
On the last day of school, we celebrate all the students with a prayer service that involves a wonderful “moving up” ceremony as they say goodbye to their current teacher and move to the pews with their next year’s teacher.
All are invited to come and share in this moment in the church at 10:30am.
We will also have the chance to say “Thank you” to several teachers and staff that will be retiring and/or moving on to something new.
Finally, at this event, we announce who will receive the “Dave Grumney and Judy Ziels” Servant of the Year award for 2025. You won’t want to miss this.
Calling Playground Angels!
This is it!
Only 4 days left of school needing recess help!
Thank you for helping the kids play safe!
We are blessed to be supporting a number of newly-enrolled families for the 2025-26 school year! We need the help of our current families to make them feel welcomed into our warm and caring community. This is an easy way to get volunteer hours and a great way to connect with new families. We are looking to fill this need at most grade levels. Please click the link and fill out the online survey to share your interest and be contacted in late June. https://forms.office.com/r/tzBsW16wgq
Let’s show our newest community members the supportive and loving “Assumption Way”- thank you!

USED UNIFORM DONATIONS
We are collecting donations from families now as you start to clean out your closets. Please bring all uniforms to the front office by the end of June. Thank you.
Volunteer Corner
- Funeral Reception help needed on June 6th, Friday at the school gym. The reception is for Catholic Community Services Director who passed away recently. We need help possibly decorating and helping with food service for the reception. Time to help is from 11:30 to 1:30. It is the funeral for the Catholic Community Services Director who recently passed unexpectantly. Call Michele King in the office for more information on helping. Thank you.
- Organizing the basement—a hidden realm of mystery, forgotten craft supplies, and that one weird lamp. Honestly, it’s kind of fun. Any time or day of the week. Get a jump on your volunteer hours for next year.
Not your vibe? No problem. Shoot me an email and I’ll match you with a project that suits your skills—or at least your tolerance for dust. Brenna@Assumption.org

2025 Ellen Anderson Volunteer of the Year Award
Last Friday, we were able to celebrate all our volunteers at a reception in the gym hosted by the staff and teachers. Our Ellen Anderson Volunteer of the Year recipient for 2025 is Mrs. Krissy. She has been such a blessing to the school this year in many ways including: room parent, office help, Auction lead, playground angel, helping fundraise for the 7th grade class trip next year, health checks annually, and going on field trips!
We also thanked our outgoing PTC members at the reception: Libby Stark, PTC president, and Holly Vincent, check depositor, for all the work they’ve done this year and in previous years with the PTC.
We also want to give a shout out to some other standout volunteers working on the grounds and flower beds: Jan Ochs, Brett and Janis Jacobs, Larry and Rita Kersteins, playground angels, and for all the wonderful parent volunteers that have made it possible to go on field trips, dances, talent shows, middle school trips and much more.

Summer Childcare
Dear Assumption Families,
I hope you’re all having a great end to the school year! I wanted to let you know that I’m looking for a babysitting job over the summer.
I’m heading into my senior year at Western Washington University, where I’m majoring in English Literature with a Teaching Endorsement. I’ve loved getting to know your kids through my work at EDP, and I also have experience nannying for families with up to three children at a time. I am also open for any tutoring and skills building a student may need.
I have completely open availability throughout the summer and would be happy with something part-time or more full-time, depending on your family’s needs.
If you’re looking for help or have any questions, please feel free to reach out! You can contact me at (406) 370-3934 or zuzremes@gmail.com.
Warmly,
Zuzana Remes

Thank you all for a wonderful year! It’s been such a joy to journey with your children through youth ministry this season.
We’re planning a “just-before-summer-ends” event on Saturday, August 23rd. I’ll share more details in July, but for now, please save the date! Our current 5th graders (soon-to-be 6th graders) will be invited as well.
Looking ahead to next year, we’ll be moving middle school youth ministry from Friday nights to Saturday evenings, right after the 5:00 PM Mass at Church of the Assumption. Things will look a little different—more details to come!
Thank you again for a fantastic year. I’m grateful for your continued support and excited for what’s ahead!
With gratitude,

Month of the Sacred Heart
This month we celebrate the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the month of June. The Lord has a burning desire to have us know how much he loves us.
June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Catholic Church. This devotion centers around the image of Jesus’ heart, a symbol of his love and compassion for humanity. The month is traditionally observed with prayers, meditations, and acts of consecration to the Sacred Heart.
The devotion to the Sacred Heart originated in the 17th century after Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. May we all understand the Love of Jesus in our lives.
