Why are so many clothes in our lobby????

Please help us find the owners of all these jackets, coats, sweatshirts and ties!  Some of these may belong to your child.  All items left by June 11th will be donated to Hope House or to the Used Uniform sale August 14/15th.

USED UNIFORM DONATIONS

We are collecting donations from families now as you start to clean out your closets.  Please bring all uniforms to the front office by the end of June.  Thank you.

Speaking of Uniforms…

Memorial Day Parade Thanks!

The seventh graders did a wonderful job helping to raise the flag at the right time for our parade to begin as well as organizing our parking lot.  And the day was beautiful and sunny as we supported the Gold Star families that turned out from our parish and community.

LAST PIZZA MONDAY IS JUNE 2ND!!!!!

Volunteer Opportunities Abound

    1. Preparing Ellis Street house (Red house) for Principal Ramos. We need parent volunteers to help move a few key pieces of furniture out of the house.

Please arrive Friday at 2:30pm and meet at the Red House to help move 2 desks into the school. Email Brenna for questions Brenna@Assumption.org.

  1. Funeral Reception help needed on June 6th, Friday at the school gym. The reception is for Catholic Community Services Director who passed away recently. We need help setting up chairs, tables, possibly decorating and helping with food prep.
  2. Organizing the basement—a hidden realm of mystery, forgotten craft supplies, and that one weird lamp. Honestly, it’s kind of fun.
Not your vibe? No problem. Shoot me an email and I’ll match you with a project that suits your skills—or at least your tolerance for dust. Brenna@Assumption.org

NORTHERN DEANERY HIGH SCHOOL BI-WEEKLY NEWS

Title option: Building momentum for the Northern Deanery Catholic High School

    English version:

The Northern Deanery High School Development Committee launched in early May with a gathering of parents, priests, and community members. The newly formed team committed to two key development goals: 1) raise awareness about the high school, and 2) build community support for both enrollment and funding.

One of the first steps for this committee is to connect with current Assumption and ICRS 6th and 7th grade parents to share information about the high school, answer questions, and identify interested startup families. These meetings will inform crucial decisions related to both location and timeline.

If you would like more information or can support this project in any way, please visit our website at https://ndhighschool.org or submit an inquiry via our Contact Us form.

Summer Childcare

Dear Assumption Families,

I hope you’re all having a great end to the school year! I wanted to let you know that I’m looking for a babysitting job over the summer.

I’m heading into my senior year at Western Washington University, where I’m majoring in English Literature with a Teaching Endorsement. I’ve loved getting to know your kids through my work at EDP, and I also have experience nannying for families with up to three children at a time. I am also open for any tutoring and skills building a student may need.

I have completely open availability throughout the summer and would be happy with something part-time or more full-time, depending on your family’s needs.

If you’re looking for help or have any questions, please feel free to reach out! You can contact me at (406) 370-3934 or zuzremes@gmail.com.

Warmly,

Zuzana Remes

Youth Group News

Middle School Youth Group – This Friday at 6:30 PM

Dear Middle School Families,

I hope you’re all doing well! This Friday at 6:30 PM, we will have youth group at Sacred Heart. Please note that we will not be meeting in the hall this week. Instead, we will start outside (weather permitting) and then move to a room downstairs in the hall for the remainder of the evening.

As usual, we’ll begin with a game. After that, the youth will have two options to choose from:

  1. Attend a Marian Music Festival at the church across the street, where beautiful Marian hymns will be played.
  2. Stay downstairs for a lesson on Mary, the Mother of God.

I’m leaving this choice up to the youth. I’m not sure how interested they’ll be in the music program—but if they are, I believe it could be a beautiful experience! Either way, youth group will conclude at 8:00 PM as usual.

Please note that the Marian Music Festival reception may begin around 8:00 PM or later (possibly until 8:30 PM). If the youth choose to stay for our lesson, and the program is still ongoing afterward, I will quietly escort any youth whose families are participating over to the church so they can join in at the end.

Looking ahead: Next Friday, June 7th, we will have a special youth group night open to all current middle schoolers and incoming 6th graders (current 5th graders). It will be a fun and welcoming evening filled with food, games, and fellowship as we celebrate the end of the school year together!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at daniel@assumption.org.

Thank you for your continued support,
Daniel Prenosil
