February Calendar Changes/Reminders
- Casual Wednesday, February 12th is Pink, Red and White day! Please refer to your classroom newsletter for details.
- Thursday, February 13th is a Dress uniform day for school mass at 8:15am.
- February 14-18 is Midwinter Break.
- NO Wednesday envelope or newsletter for 02.19.25
- Last day of school is moved to Wednesday, June 11th– not June 12th.
Staffing Update!
We want to welcome Maestra Dolores Esquivel to our school, and she began in the classroom last Monday since Senora Anna was close to having her baby. See baby news at the bottom of the newsletter.
Maestra Dolores will be teaching K-6, and middle school Spanish elective. She is a returning staff member to our community and looks forward to getting to know all the students. The last few years she has been living in Mexico with her family. Please join us in welcoming her to school.
Auction Tickets on Sale Now!
Get your tickets for the 25th annual Growing Great Kids Auction and Gala!! Don’t miss out on the event of the year! Tickets are available online (Tickets & Tables) or by filling out the rsvp card you received in the mail and returning it to the office. Tickets sell out each year, so don’t delay!

Faith Community Scholarships now open!
These applications are due by March 1, 2025. Extra paper forms will be in the office.
Many of you may be waiting to see what tuition assistance you are receiving from the school and/or from the Fulcrum Foundation before you can specify your need from the parishes. Since you will be receiving all of this information in the same letter in April, please estimate these amounts based on what your family received in the 2024-2025 school year. (Note: If you are new to the school this year and have applied to the Fulcrum Foundation for the first time, contact the office and we can provide you with the Fulcrum amounts directly as soon as we have that information.)
Enrollment Deadlines for 2025-2026
- February 21st– Re-enrollment deadline for current families. Non-refundable registration fees are due. This is a hard deadline so we can open spaces for new students.
- March 1– Faith Community Scholarships are due to Assumption School office. English FCC and Spanish FCC
- Early April – Families receive a tuition assistance letter from the school with awards for 2024-2025. This includes Fulcrum Foundation, tuition assistance from school, and Faith Community Scholarships.

Save the Date! Science Fair is Thursday, March 20th
Science & Engineering Fair returns to Assumption the evening of Thursday, March 20th. The fair will take place in the gym and feature individual projects from all ACS middle school students. Younger grades work as a class or in small groups to complete projects as well. Mark your calendars for an evening of science fun! Watch for more information and a SignUp Genius for volunteers soon.
Eighth Grade Gratitude
The eighth graders would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported their Super Bowl Chili Fest last weekend! We are still counting the results from our leftover sales, but it appears to be one of our most profitable fundraisers to date. More importantly, it was a fantastic community event, and a good time was enjoyed by all!
We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community and how we come together to help one another. These events not only provide our parents with a more economical way to send our kids to Washington, D.C., but they also instill in our children the value of hard work as they collaborate with us toward this goal. It’s just one of the many valuable lessons we can impart to them by being part of a Catholic school!

I am so happy to share that we welcomed Theodore Wittmershaus this past weekend! He was born Feb. 9th at 6:14pm- a lovely surprise at 10 days early!
