Catholic Schools Week 2025

Please refer to the calendar for all our upcoming events during this busy and exciting week!

WALK WITH US! WE NEED A FEW MORE VOLUNTEERS…

As part of our Catholic Schools Week celebration, we are seeking parent volunteers from each class to assist teachers in supervising students during our outreach to our Sunnyland neighbors (walking). This is a valuable opportunity for us to teach our students the importance of celebrating and giving back to their community.

If you are available to arrive early for pick-up at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 29th, to provide additional safety oversight, please contact theoffice@assumption.school. Thank you for your support!

On Sunday, February 2, from 11:30 to 1:30pm, Assumption will be hosting a schoolwide open house. We’ll be offering a fun game, and current families are encouraged to attend with a new friend. Those who bring an interested family will receive a FREE DRESS ticket for their child(ren)!

Please note that we anticipate extra space available in kindergarten and first grade, so please help us spread the word!

DID YOU KNOW that if you refer a new family who remains enrolled through December 2025, your family receives one registration FREE the following school year? We hope you will share your love and the gift of Assumption with others!

God bless, and we’ll see you all then! If you haven’t joined youth group yet, it’s not too late—all 6th through 8th graders are welcome!

Thanks!
Daniel Prenosil

Saint of the Week Question:

Answer to last week: St. Marguerite Bourgeoys

She was the French founder of the Congregation of Notre Dame of Montreal, Canada.  During a procession for Our Lady, she sought to give herself fully to God. Despite her poor health, she devoted her life to educating young girls, natives and the poor.

Annalise Twining is the winner this week and can come to spin the wheel for a prize!

New Question: “Have patience with the whole world, but above all with yourself. Do not be disheartened by your imperfections, but always rise up with fresh courage.”

He was a 7th century French bishop and wrote Introduction to the Devout Life.

Who is this wonderful saint?

**Please submit your answer by the office near the Disciple bulletin board.

Vote For Our School and Help us win Tiny Saint Charms

Voting Open Now!

Catholic Schools Week is coming soon, and we need YOUR help to choose a winner for our Catholic Schools Week giveaway! One lucky school will win 1500 custom Tiny Saint charms of their school’s patron!

We use a lottery system for our voting, so every school has a chance of winning – no matter how big or small. Each vote helps your chances though, so make sure to enlist the help of your friends, family, and your neighbor’s dog (just kidding, we can’t accept dog-votes). The winner will be randomly selected and announced on February 3rd.

**TinySaints is a company not affiliated with Assumption School or Seattle Archdiocese.

Communication through Wednesday Envelopes

Please remember that many things can be and are sent through your envelopes to the office and vice versa: payments, forms, scrip, letters to teachers, homework….etc. This is one of our main ways of communication.

Yet, this becomes ineffective if students lose or forget their envelopes at home.  As the semester ends and a new semester begins, the office will start charging families for replacement envelopes. If you have any questions please email Mrs. King at mking@assumption.school
