FIG Art Displays

Dear Families,

We’re excited to announce that Assumption Catholic School will be participating in a captivating new program offered by the FIG Art Studio called “Featured Young Artists.” This initiative showcases children’s artwork from across the county and presents a wonderful opportunity for our students to display their creativity.

The artwork will be presented on the morning of April 5th and will remain on exhibit throughout the entire month of April. Notably, April 5th marks the First Free Friday, welcoming everyone to the museum at no cost to admire the remarkable works of our young talents.

We warmly invite you to join us in supporting your children’s creativity by attending this special event. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the artistic achievements of our students.

We look forward to seeing you there!

In Case you Missed it: Welcome, Damerious Sabbath!

We have a new custodian, Damerious Sabbath, who will be starting on Monday, April 1st to begin training with Mr. Partlow in the transition. Mr. Sabbath is originally from Riverside, California but has been working in Bellingham since 2018. He has a variety of experience from groundskeeping/maintenance to office and house cleaning. Please join us in welcoming him to Assumption.

FACTS Update

Text blasts sent after April 22nd will have a new “short code”. We encourage all parents to add the new short code 317065 to their saved contact for ACS school, so it does not display as an unknown sender.

If you do not wish to receive text blasts from ACS, then you can opt out by texting stop.

School Commission Discernment 2024-2025

Each year, one third of our School Commission members complete their term and we are looking for new members to join the Commission. We look for people in career fields such as law, real estate, education, finance, and maintenance to provide expertise to Mr. Anderson around school-wide decisions. The School Commission meets the third Wednesday of every month, and members of the Commission meet all their volunteer hour requirements by participating. If you are interested in considering this for the 2024-2025 school year, applications will be due April 11, 2024. Applicants are invited to the School Commission meeting on Wednesday, April 17th. (application here)
