Dear Families,
Thank you for all of your prayers for my surgery ten days ago. It was a slow recovery but I’m much better than I was last week! Your children were good to me and able to help me when I came back on Wednesday. I was in the classroom today with Mrs. Eusabio teaching while I was able to catch up on everything as well as plan for next week. I great appreciate the patience!
The next book report is on Thursday! Students will be writing their summaries on Seesaw. There is nothing for them to do at home other than be done with reading the book!
I would love to have someone come into my classroom and do some filling and a few other things weekly on Friday morning or just before school gets out on Thursday. Please let me know if you are interested.

Academics
Religion – Fourth Grade Theologians finished their Stations of the Cross art pieces. They also learned about the different prophets of the Old Testament who prophesized Jesus coming. Perfect for Lent!
Language – We read a new book called Shiloh, as a class, diving into the character development. It is a fabulous book to discuss in fourth grade. Spelling focused on Unit 22 which was on homophones. Everything in spelling will be in cursive for the rest of the year! I am picky, yet your children are meeting the high expectations! Thank you for your support on this!
Math – Fourth grade mathematicians are working equivalent fractions.
Science – These scientists began a unit on sound and sound waves.
Social Studies – We learned about how Washington became a state. They made a large class timeline from the 1600-2000
Specialists
Art – Students learned about focal point, using proportion and balance to guide the viewer’s attention in their compositions. They drew whales and added texture, patterns, and details to make their artwork more dynamic and visually engaging.
Spanish – We played Bingo using vocabulary related to parts of the body, means of transportation, classroom objects, and others. In addition to learning vocabulary, students are also learning the correct article for each word, whether is masculine or feminine EL or LA.
Music -This week in music we are…practicing reading TAB notation on the ukulele and deciphering fret numbers to create melodies. Also we are playing the singing game Categories to practice steady beat and quick thinking
Physical Education -Students reviewed long jump rope turning and jumping while practicing jump rope rhymes and songs. We also played a fun timing and coordination game called Run Through School.
