Dear Families,
You receiving this newsletter a day early because I will be gone Friday and Monday. Mrs. Mura will be here with us again. Thank you!
Our field trip is on Tuesday, June 2nd! It looks like it will be good weather for it! We will be leaving around 10am. If you would like to meet us around 11:30 for lunch, you are welcome. If you signed up to be a chaperone/driver, we have plenty of them. So I will limit the drivers to the amount of seat that we need and you are welcome to join us there as a chaperone or just lunch. I will be sending out an email to all of you shortly.
Regarding what students may wear: they are needing to dress appropriately for it. They will be getting dirty/sandy/wet. It is the beach! Some really important things to bring:
- Bring sunscreen, hat etc. for rain or sun.
- Closed-toed and snug fitting shoes! We will be walking on sharp rocks/barnacles. We will also be needing a change of shoes perhaps if they are not wanting wet shoes. We will be on the beach after lunch and after that, we will be heading back to the school.
- Bring a lunch and plenty of water!
- Casual Dress uniform – Please follow guidelines in the student handbook.
I sent home a “Parent Connection” magazine for you, as parents, as a resource for the Family Life unit to continue discussions at home. I do need that back. If you have not sent it back yet, please find it and return it to me next week. Otherwise you may be charged for it.
I will not be sending home Friday Folders until June 8th or 9th due to me being out and working on report cards. I will be working on report cards and grading. Thank you for your patience!
Blessings,
Paula A. Martin-Zender
