Dear Families, March 28, 2025
Thank you to Mr. Warren and Mr. Baldwin! This week they came and talked to our class what it is like to be a pilot of planes or helicopters. Mr. Warren even shared that he was a pilot on the US President’s helicopter for seven years! They were a great addition to our Force and Motion unit we had for the Science Fair and a precursor to our field trip to the Museum of Flight on Monday!
Speaking of the Museum of Flight, if you signed up to be a chaperone, I am sending out a the itinerary after I post this newsletter. Look for my email. The drivers will be consolidated due to have MANY drivers and chaperone volunteers!
All parents: please have your children at the school by 7:45 am on Monday! We have to be on the road to the Museum of Flight by 8:00 am. We have a class to be at by 10 am. We will be returning between 4:00-4:30, depending on traffic. Students should bring a lunch with something to drink. There are bins there in which students are to store their lunch inside the museum. No electronics are allowed on the trip. Parents may show a movie, if they have that ability in their car. However, G rated movies are only allowed.
In Religion we have been learning about Catholic Relief Services that the Rice Bowl collection is for. We are learning how they work in the world with one story each week. Here is the link on Bangladesh which was this week, last week Guatemala, and the week before: Nigeria.
We said our good-byes to Pebbles this week. I hope you saw my email or talked with your child about it. Students have been wanting to get another one. I have responded by saying: “Let’s discuss it after Spring Break.”
Blessings,
Paula A. Martin-Zender
