During the school year we will focus on our faith as well as our prayer life through personal prayer, group prayer, art, and liturgies at Mass and prayer services. We will also look at the choices that we make in the context of our Christian faith, our relationships, and responsibilities to each other. Knowledge of the history of the Catholic Church from the time of Jesus is an essential element of our eighth-grade year. Forming Christian morality after Jesus’ example is our call. We will choose a class service project from the Corporal Works of Mercy (feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, bury the dead.) Students are required to complete 9 service hours per semester.
