Language Arts: Intro Latin

Religion:  Intro to Philosophy of Religion and the Catholic teachings about who God is. Students will learn the characteristics of God and discuss his presence in their lives

Science: Learning about Light and Matter and practicing the Scientific Method. We will focus on refraction and light waves this week.

Monday: Read Across America 1 pm to 3 pm today. Wrestling meet Mt. Baker at 4 pm

Tuesday: Archery 7 am just for State Archers

Wednesday: Volleyball Home vs. Mt. Baker (Away)

Friday: School Mass (7th Grade)

Curriculum Foci:

Language Arts: Latin 12; personification; pronouns

Religion:  Prepare for Lent through discussion of Sacraments and their role in leading us to God and away from sin and the importance of an examination of conscience. We will also begin practicing for our presentation of the Stations of the Cross and Mass this Friday. 

Science: Discuss the structures and functions of plants to prepare for a Quiz in the coming week

World History: Focus: Feudalism in Asia.  Reminder–current events and Where in the World due Wednesday.  Satire will start next week.

Literature: In Literature Circle groups

Religion:  Discuss the meaning of Mass and make St. Therese of Lisieux’s sacrifice beads. Students will turn in their parish poems this Wednesday.

Science: Finish Earth’s History timeline and begin to discuss Plants

World History: Focus: Finishing up Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation with study packet, then Jeopardy. Test, chapter 11 tentatively set for Wednesday. Where in the World and Current events due Wednesdays.
