7th Grade Newsletter

December 16-20th 2019

Special Notes:

Wednesday and Thursday: Bring in Secret Santa gifts (wrapped!), Wednesday 7th grade will be on a field trip to the bowling alley (PE), Thursday Night Christmas Program (doors open at 6:30 pm, event begins at 7:00 pm)

Friday: Class Christmas Party and gift exchange, Friday is a half day- release at 11:45 am

Curriculum Foci:

Language Arts: Latin 9; Descriptive Essay (Christmas prompts) past due.  Reviewing pronouns.

Religion:  Submit nativity projects, discuss liturgical seasons and the meaning of Advent and Christmas. We will have cooking class Tuesday. 

Science: Present “Acting out Evolution” project and turn in take-home quiz on Thursday

Washington State History: Focus: Tying up loose ends in Washington State History.  Beginning the Middle Ages in World History. Where in the World (latitude and longitude research) begins after break.

Literature: In Literature Circle groups, the seventh graders are reading The House of the Scorpions by Nancy Farmer.
