Dear PreKindergarten Families: Our week was shortened by Martin Luther King Day and the early release. We practiced our small motor skills, cutting, coloring and gluing and we created more crystals to observe.
Homework : Please practice spelling your child’s last name and knowing their birthday.

On Thursday the 6th graders will be visiting our classroom to read a book to the preschoolers. We will be talking more about the Arctic and Antarctic regions.

Dear Preschool Families: We talked about hibernation this week, which animals do/don’t hibernate. We also heard stories about the snow days. We practiced attention-giving during circle, listening to others and taking turns.
Homework: ABC’s and 123’s, knowing full names and spelling first names.

Dear PreKindergarten Families: This week we worked writing the letter K, and started our learning about the Polar Regions, ice and crystals. The children will be participating in experiments and learning about the weather and animals that survive in extreme cold.
Homework : We will be working on recognizing and spelling last names and birthdays. Please practice this at home also. Spelling in a rhyme or song helps the children remember spelling. (“Old MacDonald” or “Twinkle, Twinkle are recognizable tunes you can add the spelling to.)
