Newsletter: PreKindergarten – December 9-13, 2019

Dear PreKindergarten Families: This week in PreKindergarten class we continued celebrating the Christmas season by observing the second week of Advent, practicing for our Christmas program, singing Christmas songs and focusing on the real meaning of Christmas. We also had some fun Santa time by making Gingerbread houses and gingerbread people.

Homework: Please do some Christmas counting such as counting down to Christmas, Houses decorated for Christmas on your block etc.

Dear Preschool Families: This week we started talking about the meaning of Advent and our Christmas projects. We will be emphasizing the true meaning of Christmas which is waiting for and the birth of Jesus.

Homework: Please let your preschooler practice putting on their own coat, and, of course, spelling their name, counting items and singing the ABC song.

Coming Up: We will be decorating Christmas Cookies on Thursday, December 12 for our Gingerbread theme. We will be singing Christmas songs, counting and word lists to go with Christmas.

Newsletter: PreKindergarten December 2-6, 2019

Dear PreKindergarten Families: This week we introduced the Christmas program we will be performing on Friday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the school library. We will have the children practice as many different parts as we have time for, then we will see which role fits them best. We told the children we don’t know who will play what, but every part is equally important.

Homework Please have your child practice their full name, parents’ names and address! This is very important for them to know.  We will also be practicing them. Thank you.
