- Welcome to 4th grade! I look forward to a fantastic year with this wonderful group of children. As a fourth grader, your child is beginning their intermediate education. This is a huge step up from third grade. They will be taking the basics that they learned in the primary years and using them to develop ideas and opinions of their own. In addition, the students will learn how to be more responsible and act in positive ways that build a supportive classroom community.
- Please review and sign the student planner each evening. Reading will be built into homework since it is a KEY to success. The homework assigned is never a new concept; it is always a reinforcement of what we have done in class. Therefore, please make homework your child’s responsibility. If something interferes with homework, please write a quick note in the agenda and let me know. Don’t hesitate to contact me at any time. My info is at the bottom of this page.
- Wednesday, September 11th will be curriculum night. I look forward to meeting you personally to explain the expectations for your child’s academic and social development. You will receive a written synopsis of the curricula at that time as well. This event is for parents only.
- On Fridays, a “Friday Folder” will come home with the parent letter, your child’s missing and corrected assignments or tests. Please examine your child’s progress and return the folder on Monday, signed with any questions or comments.
Blessings for a great school year!
