{"id":2225,"date":"2026-09-05T00:13:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T00:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/school.assumption.org\/fifthgrade\/?page_id=2225"},"modified":"2026-09-05T00:51:30","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T00:51:30","slug":"technology","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/school.assumption.org\/fifthgrade\/technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Technology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-dark-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2\" style=\"color:#707070\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students and parents will be expected to read the technology agreement in the school handbook.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5th&nbsp;graders will NOT be allowed to play video games&nbsp;in class (even during rainy day recess).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use&nbsp;the following sites regularly:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Office 360 (including email)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IXL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zane Blosser Portal (Spelling)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seesaw<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students should practice tech typing skills if they are not familiar with them.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&#8217;ve&nbsp;found&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.typing.com\/student\/lessons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.typing.com\/student\/lessons<\/a>&nbsp;to be helpful.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All final writing drafts should be done using Word.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students will be taught the Current Reliable Authority Purpose (C.R.A.P.)
