{"id":2217,"date":"2026-09-05T00:13:28","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T00:13:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/school.assumption.org\/fifthgrade\/?page_id=2217"},"modified":"2026-09-05T00:50:53","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T00:50:53","slug":"classroom-behavior-management","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/school.assumption.org\/fifthgrade\/classroom-behavior-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Classroom &amp; Behavior Management"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1\" style=\"color:#707070\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are expected to follow the classroom and school expectations.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When a rule is broken, I will&nbsp;do the following (in order, one step at a time if behavior persists):&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student will be given a verbal warning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student and I will have a one-on-one conversation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student will do an independent reflection (Think Sheet), and home\/principal will be contacted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can hold a follow-up conference to remedy the issue if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In serious cases&nbsp;of bullying or violence, I will skip the verbal warnings and send students to the principal\u2019s office with a behavior report.&nbsp;Bullying is NOT&nbsp;tolerated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stopbullying.gov defines bullying as:&nbsp;&#8220;Unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real&nbsp;or perceived power imbalance.&nbsp;The behavior is&nbsp;repeated or&nbsp;has the potential to be repeated over time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students are expected to follow the classroom and school expectations.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; When a rule is broken, I will&nbsp;do the following (in order, one step at a time if behavior persists):&nbsp;&nbsp; We can hold a follow-up conference to remedy the issue if necessary.
