CHEERS, DAN!

Please join us on Sunday. May 19th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm for an open house farewell in the Assumption gym for our beloved ACS principal, Dan Anderson! As you all know, Dan and his family are moving back to California this July, where he will serve as Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Monterey. Come out to show Dan our gratitude for his incredible servant leadership for the past eight years and raise a glass to his new adventure!

You can pitch in to give Dan the send-off he deserves. We need folks to set up, keep food and drink coming, clean up and keep an eye on active kiddos outside. Each shift is just one hour so helpers can also enjoy the party and there are even opportunities for middle schoolers to earn a service hour or two.

The Bellingham School District finalized the district calendar for the next two years and Assumption generally matches longer holidays with them. So, spring break will be from April 7th to April 11th in 2025.

You can see the whole calendar here or on the school website.  Draft calendar only and changes may happen over the summer. Thank you.

Saint Question of the Week!

If you think you know the answer to the question below, then write your name, grade, and guess on a piece of paper and turn it in to Mrs. King in the office.  We are lifelong learners of our Catholic faith.  There is so much to learn!

Last Week: St. Francis de Sales wrote two books: An Introduction to the Devout Life and Treatise on the Love of God. These books greatly influenced St. Vincent de Paul.

New Saint Question: He was known for his love of the poor, and there are accounts of him supplying the poor miraculously with food.  Who is this saint?

  1. St. Isidore the farmer
  2. St. Francis Xavier
  3. St. Vincent de Paul
  4. St. Philip Neri
