Parent Satisfaction Survey

Every year in November, Assumption Catholic School asks its families to provide feedback on their experience. Most of this information is for internal use, but occasionally we will use testimonials and quotes for our website or Annual Report. For new families, we realize this only incorporates a couple months of your experience, but for returning families please consider your experiences from the 2019-2020 school year, as well. The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete and we ask that you complete it by Friday, November 20th. The results will be collated and published in a Wednesday Newsletter in January. Thank you for your valuable insight and for helping us to improve the school!

Last chance! Let’s keep our kids reading and raise the needed funds for our school! There are 5 days left of our Scholastic Book Fair.

We count on the fair each year to fund additions to our school library.  Every dollar you spend will benefit our school directly (25% back in rewards!). Scholastic is a great way to check some gifts off your Christmas/birthday list. You can also share our school link with family & friends!

  • Please consider purchasing a book from our teachers’ wish list below. This is a wonderful way to fill our classrooms with great books for our kids to enjoy.
  • All orders ship direct to home
  • FREE shipping on book-only orders over $25

Thank you for all your support!

If you’d like to help your teachers get new books for their classrooms for all students to enjoy, follow these two steps:

  •  View your teacher’s wish list (links below) and add your name next to the book you wish to purchase for the class. Please remember when you sign up, you are committing to purchasing that title for the class.
  • Go to our online book fair ( and purchase the book you signed up for. It will ship to your home and your child may then bring it to their teacher.

Human Food Chain Collection for Hope House

Just two days left to collect food donations for Hope House! Items can be sent with your child or brought to the front doors to place beneath the large logo in our entryway.  A lovely poster adorns the drop off area- if we cover it entirely with donations, students will receive free dress!

On Monday, November 23rd, each class will take turns carrying items from our collection to the Hope House doors. A prayer service and blessing of the food will begin at 8:30 with our students joining from their classrooms.

Canned and boxed items are greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much for your support in assisting our community members in need!

Health Screener and Playground Angel Volunteers

We’ve had many parents step up to help and have just a few more slots to fill for the month.  Please check out the link for responsibilities and openings.

We are so grateful for the support Health Screeners and Playground Angels bring to our students and Duty Teachers.  Please keep in mind that we count on these safety roles when you sign up, and last-minute deletions send us scrambling for help. If you must cancel a sign up, please email Jessica Sidhu at so she can try to find a replacement volunteer.

Auction Donation Deadline

We wanted to remind all families the procurement form is due December 1st with your intended donation to our auction.

Again, please email us with any questions/concerns you have. We would be more than happy to answer them:

The Hozas welcomed a new addition to their family last week. Future Eagle, Dominic Joseph, was born on November 12th measuring 18 inches and 7 lbs. 8 oz. Congratulations to Emily and Nicholas and Katrina (2nd), Carson (K) and John who are doing a great job caring for him!

Care and Concern Ministry Message

There’s a cooler outside the school doors on Mondays and Thursdays for the Salcido Family. Please drop your meal off by 1:30 pm so that their daughter can bring it home at pick up. To sign up for a meal, please visit the link here:

The Church of the Assumption Hispanic Ministry wants to thank our school families for supporting their tamale fundraiser for the Salcidos.  $3,178 was raised for the family, who are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed. We are blessed to be part of such a wonderful community!

The Hebert Family also continues to be grateful for your support through donations and meals during this difficult time. Thank you to all for your support and prayers.

We also want to pray for ACS parent Cristina Brumley as she recovers from a broken ankle. We pray for a full recovery and healing without further complications.

If there are any other families in need or who would like further support, please contact Kelly Segel:
