Parent Satisfaction Survey

Every year in November, Assumption Catholic School asks its families to provide feedback on their experience. Most of this information is for internal use, but occasionally we will use testimonials and quotes for our website or Annual Report. For new families, we realize this only incorporates a couple months of your experience, but for returning families please consider your experiences from the 2019-2020 school year, as well. The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete and we ask that you complete it by Friday, November 20th. The results will be collated and published in a Wednesday Newsletter in January. Thank you for your valuable insight and for helping us to improve the school!

Annual Report 2020

In this week’s Wednesday Envelope, you will receive a copy of the school’s Annual Report. This is a huge undertaking each year and we are grateful for the help of so many volunteers who helped put it together. Thank you to Tara Gilligan Reimer for overall coordination and editing; to Angie Nguyen for the graphic design and publication; and to our editors Christina Nichols (alumni parent), Holly Zech, Eloisa Townsend, and Jennifer Hebert. Thank you to Lee Eberhardt for his amazing photos, and to Minuteman Press for publishing and mailing the report. If you’d like to share the report with family members, you can access it on the school’s website at

Human Food Chain Food Collection for Hope House

Between now and Friday, November 20th, our school will be collecting food donations for Hope House.  Items can be sent with your child or brought to the front doors to place beneath the large logo in our entryway.  A lovely poster adorns the drop off area- if we cover it entirely with donations, students will receive free dress!

On Monday, November 23rd, each class will take turns carrying items from our collection to the Hope House doors. A prayer service and blessing of the food will begin at 8:30 with our students joining from their classrooms.

Canned and boxed items are greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much for your support in assisting our community members in need!

Fulcrum News Update

In case you missed it, Assumption was featured in this month’s Fulcrum Foundation newsletter:

Honoring Veterans

Our Third Grade class will be leading school Mass and celebrating veterans on Friday, November 13th.  The students are making a large paper flag containing names of veterans to be remembered. If you would like the name(s) of any family members added to their flag, please email Mrs. M-Z:

Thank you so much for supporting our Book Fair!

Our teachers would love new books for their classrooms to enjoy! If you’d like to help, follow these two steps:

  • View your teacher’s wish list (links below) and add your name next to the book you wish to purchase for the class. Please remember when you sign up, you are committing to purchasing that title for the class.
  • Go to our online book fair ( and purchase the book you signed up for. It will ship to your home and your child may then bring it to their teacher.

Sponsorship Opportunities at the Auction

The Growing Great Kids Auction and Gala will be here before we know it and we have lots of great opportunities for businesses to sponsor this fabulous event (and largest fundraiser for the school). If you have or know a business who might benefit from engagement with our community, please fill out the sponsorship form here and return it to the school office.

You will also find a hard copy of the form in this week’s physical newsletter along with details about package options. Feel free to share this information with any generous local businesses you love. You’ll see we have sponsorship packages available to suit any budget. As an added bonus, sponsoring at any level fulfills your family’s donation obligation!  If you have any questions, please contact our Sponsorship Chair, Katherine Deets at

Grandparents Day

This year, we are honoring grandparents by sending them notes and letters.  If you provided mailing addresses via the digital survey sent last week (deadline was 11/9), we’ll take care of mailing the cards written by your child(ren).  If you didn’t supply mailing information but would still like to share their letters of love, the completed cards will come home with your students.  Please feel free to mail or deliver them yourselves.
