“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” Romans 12:6

Did you know?

Catechism of the Catholic Church #2223:

“Becoming a disciple of Jesus means accepting the invitation to belong to God’s family, to live in conformity with His way of life…”

We are all called to pray for vocations for our children. This Lent consider adding a daily prayer and/or making a daily sacrifice for your child’s future vocation or spouse. Be confident that all prayers bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God.

Volunteers Needed for February Hot Lunch

Tuesday, February 25 is our next Hot Lunch and we need parent helpers (please see your physical envelope for order forms)!  The continued success of our Hot Lunch Program is only possible with enough volunteers to keep it running.

Please sign up for a shift and help support this student and family favorite!

Growing Great Kids Auction

Check out Sneak Peek #4 of a live item in this week’s physical envelope and information re: a critical volunteer need.

Thank you all so much for your support and helping us make this an unforgettable night!

PTC Family Movie Night on Friday, February 21st

Frozen II!  Open the flyer for details. Donations are appreciated and concessions will be available for sale.  Bring your sleeping bags and pillows to camp out on the gym floor and spend some time with your school community!  Please note that this is a family activity and children must be supervised by parents.  Thank you!

Children’s Stations of the Cross/Fish Fry

Assumption’s Family Ministry Council is hosting Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 13th.  Students of all ages are asked to sign up to help.  We need leaders, readers and candle bearers, no experience necessary!  Readings will be emailed in order to practice prior to the date.  We are excited to also combine with the Knights of Columbus and offer a Family Friendly Fish Fry!  Lenten activities for the children will also be available in the gym during this time.  Please join us for a fun, family friendly, Lenten evening!

Friday Lenten Soup Suppers

Come join us in the Assumption gym for Lenten Soup Suppers each Friday during Lent! Suppers are at 6:30 pm (±10 minutes depending on when Stations of the Cross ends) beginning Feb. 28, and continue each Friday through April 3. Bring a pot of meatless soup or some bread and join your fellow parishioners for this community-building event!

EduArts from BAAY program

Since we couldn’t match Missoula Children’s Theater with our dates for the spring, we’ve arranged with EduArts (a school’s program with BAAY) to come in for 10-12 weeks between March and the end of the school year for a drama program. We are currently working out the details with the program’s coordinator, but it seems that the program will be offered for K-5 students (since it conflicts with track & field practices for middle school) and will run twice per week after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Look for the registration soon with a potential start date of March 17th. Please email Mr. Anderson directly with any questions.

Track and Field Coach Wanted

ACS is seeking a coach for the upcoming Track and Field season.

  • Season runs from mid-March through mid-May 2020.
  • Team will practice most weekdays after school from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
  • Seeking someone with knowledge and enthusiasm for Track and Field who can create and enforce a safe environment both physically and emotionally for everyone in the program.
  • Position offers the head coach $500 for first year, $750 for second year and $250 for an assistant coach.

If you are interested in the position or have any questions, contact Assumption Catholic School Athletic Director, Audra Rosen at, 360-441-9099.

Support our 8th Grade Spring retreat while honoring the mothers in your life! See the order form in today’s physical envelope for details.

Thank You from Family Promise

We were so happy to receive your donations for our families experiencing homelessness. Assumption students were so kind to donate so many items for our little ones. Our families will also really appreciate your cards of support and encouragement. Thank you for opening your hearts for those that need help! We hope you had a wonderful Catholic Schools Week and thank you for including us in your celebration.
