Trunk or Treat Flier

“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” Romans 12:6

Did you know…?

Although we sit for the first two readings and the Responsorial Psalm at Mass, we stand for the Gospel which is always proclaimed by the priest (or deacon). These are Jesus’ words to us and the most holy of the sacred scriptures heard at Mass.

Volunteers Needed for October Hot Lunch

Wednesday, October 23 is our next Hot Lunch and we need parent helpers (please see your physical envelope for order forms)!  The continued success of our Hot Lunch Program is only possible with enough volunteers to keep it running.

Please sign up for a shift and help support this student and family favorite!  Hot Lunch SignUp

(In an effort to be planet-friendly, we will collect Hot Lunch volunteers via SignUpGenius going forward.)

Picture Retakes – Thursday, October 24th

If your child needs picture retakes, they will be done on Thursday, October 24. Students may come to school in free dress but must change into their uniform after their picture has been taken.  They must also return their original picture packet to the Lifetouch photographer. Pictures will be taken first thing in the morning.

Scholastic Bookfair: November 21-25

This is a fun way to earn fundraising hours and raise money for our school! Volunteers needed to help during sales by running the cash register, assisting students and parents with finding books, and restocking displays. Volunteers also needed to help repack books and products after the book fair and assist with clean up.  Book Fair SignUp

If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Smith at

Assumption Welcomes New Girls Basketball Coach

We’re thrilled to announce Assumption parent Nikki Lockhart as our new head Girls Basketball Coach!  Mrs. Lockhart played competitive basketball herself through high school and has coached high school, Boys and Girls Club and select/club basketball teams.

We are grateful to have someone with both a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for the game leading our Eagles team for the 2019-2020 season!

Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Applications

Fundraising Commitment Hours:

October Hot Lunch volunteers: Hot Lunch SignUp

Would you like to help us raise money for a new playground?? We are looking for anyone who may be interested in assisting us with writing a grant or two for a couple of projects that we are hoping to work on. The largest project is for a new playground! There are many grants out there available for playgrounds that we would be eligible for, we just need your writing skills to help us try and get them!  The other project is for an exciting physical education package for Mrs. Campbell. If you have experience in writing grants or have a knack for acquiring money for a cause, please contact Jen Sheafor at  or Sara Rush at

Non-Fundraising Commitment Hours:

October Playground Angels: We have lots of empty slots on our October schedule! Please help us out and put your name down for a time or two! October Playground SignUp .        November & December  sign up sheets are also now available.

Our Friday school mass Sacristan, Tashie is always looking for assistance for School masses. Show up at 9:30 to assist her in preparation for Mass and earn school or church volunteer hours.

Ideas for a new entryway?

You will soon notice that we will be remodeling the inside entrance to the school to add some color and more student work! This began last week by taking down the photos of former classes and teachers to put into smaller albums. Thank you to Jessica Sidhu and Jennifer Stiff for taking on this project and updating alumni stories (this hasn’t been done for about 10 years). We also plan to move the large painting and current student tiles, to allow for more wall space for student work. Things to come… more inviting furniture and space in the waiting area, a different color floor with warmer tones, and a tv monitor with revolving student photos. If you have additional ideas for this space, please email or share with one of the office staff.
