Assumption Family Support for the Lewis Family
Many of you have been supporting our beloved Lewis Family but we wanted to let the new school families know about this wonderful lady! Trisha Lewis is the mom of Colby Lewis, a 7th grader and three older children who have graduated from Assumption Catholic School. The Lewis Family has been a part of our school community for over 20 years. From the very beginning Trisha was very involved in volunteering and doing anything she can do help her children and their teachers at Assumption. She worked at the school as the Director of our Extended Day Program for many years as well. Those of you who know her know she is always helping others and has the biggest heart. Currently Trisha is fighting a very aggressive cancer and has begun a new chemotherapy that is very hard on her body. Right now, we are asking families to sign up below to bring meals to the family. More information is written on the meal train about delivery and specifics. Please keep this very special family in your prayers. Thank you, Team Trisha! https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/74ln3n

FACTS Fulcrum & Assumption Tuition Assistance Applications
All school families who would like to apply for either Fulcrum Foundation or Assumption School Tuition Assistance need to fill out an application through FACTS.
Tuition assistance applications for the 2019-2020 school year are now available online to complete. The website is https://online.factsmgt.com/aid. As a reminder, submitting the application online is just the first step. All applicants must also provide supporting documentation, like tax forms and W-2’s. Applications can only be verified and processed once all necessary documentation is submitted. It takes FACTS about 14 business days to process applications once paperwork is received, so the sooner it’s submitted, the better. Each family will pay a $29 fee to FACTS to apply for Fulcrum tuition assistance. Each family will be fully reimbursed if their child(ren), regardless of whether they are awarded a Fulcrum grant or not, enroll(s) in a Catholic school for the 2019-2020 school year. The deadline for applications to be submitted and documents to be uploaded into FACTS is January 4, 2019. If you need help completing the application or uploading your documents, please contact Angie King at 733-6133 ext. 4313 or email her at aking@school.assumption.org.
Scholastic Book Fair Update
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped with the Scholastic Book Fair and all the students and families who purchased items. Your generous help raised $3500 to buy books for our school and classroom libraries. This is our highest amount to date and it’s all because of you!

PTC News
Please plan on joining us for our next PTC General Meeting on January 9th at 7pm in the gym. We will be joined by our local Neighborhood Police Officer Eric OsterKamp. Officer OsterKamp will be discussing how the Bellingham Police Department is prepared to handle a school crisis at Assumption or how a crisis at Bellingham High School would affect Assumption and how it would be handled. We look forward to seeing you at our meeting and hearing from Officer OsterKamp!
Scrip Online Incentive: We believe that as a school, we could be benefiting even more than we are from this great program. We also believe that when it’s easier to buy, families will generate more Scrip revenue for the school and will be less stressed, meeting their obligation.
If you need directions for how to register on shopwithscrip.com, please find them in the forms boxes outside the office OR ask Angie King if you have any questions or concerns.
