What is School Commission?
The purpose and function of a Catholic School Commission is to be an advisory body to the Pastor and Principal. The Principal is the Executive Directory of this body. The Pastor and Principal do not vote. The Pastor has veto power as directed by the Code of Canon Law. shared responsibility in policy and decision-making is unique to the private school sector. The Commission is not meant to be a means for individual members to air personal concerns and interests, but rather, an opportunity to share wisdom and vision to assist the Pastor and Principal administer the school the commitment of this group requires the ability to look at the total picture of the school and its destiny. It is a place for the sharing of Christian ideals and planning objectives to reach the common goals.

What is Parent/Teacher Club (PTC)?
Parent/Teacher Club (PTC) at Assumption Catholic School has a membership of every parent and/or guardian of every student in the school. The main purpose of Parent/Teacher Club is to be the “fund” and “fun” raising arms of School Commission. The PTC prompts open communication among parents, teachers, and administration, promotes goodwill and cooperation between and among parents, faculty, administration, Executive Board, School Commission, and the parishes of Assumption, Sacred Heart and the Northwest Three Corners Catholic Churches, and fosters the political action of parents as advocates regarding national, state, and local legislation affecting the operation of the school and learning of the students.
